Τroodos Geopark Visitor Centre and Botanical Gardens (20-minute drive)

A visitor’s center with information on the unique geology of Troodos mountains, is set in an area of 1.147 km2 with enormous historical value. Walk through an extraordinary botanical garden and learn about the flora of the area. The Troodos botanic garden is targeting towards the conservation and promotion of the Cypriot botanical heritage, focusing on the Troodos native and traditional cultivated plants. The centre also hosts a seed bank of endemic species and a plethora of evidence for the past mining activity and the community which once flourished there.

The Visitor Centre of the Troodos National Forest Park (22-minute drive)

Situated 200m west of the Troodos Square, the Visitor Centre aims, through its exhibits and services to inform the visitor about the importance and unique character of the Forest Park and various environmental issues. It also offers recreational facilities such as a restaurant, children play area and tennis courts. Connected to the visitor centre is 250 m long paved trail along which one can discover various plants of the Park and geological specimens, which form the Troodos Ophiolite Complex.
